The Beckley Foundation Drug Policy Programme aims to promote open
debate on the effectiveness of drug policies. This section contains
a discussion forum through which invited individuals can post requests
for information, and discuss issues related to drug policy formulation,
implementation and evaluation. This discussion forum is accessible
only to those individuals - policymakers, academics and experts
- who have been invited to take part.
Discussions on this website are governed by the 'CHATHAM HOUSE
RULE'.
The Chatham House Rule originated at Chatham House with the aim
of guaranteeing anonymity to those speaking within its walls in
order that better international relations could be achieved. It
is now used throughout the world as an aid to free discussion.
"(under) the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to
use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation
of the speaker (s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed."
